You are not in the mood to climb up walls to save maidens in distress, just feeding them is fine --- so you’ll go ahead and do that.
“Guess I’m cooking lunch now.” You imagine everyone is hungry after the travel and the stories shared. “Where’s the kitchen?”
“Over here, dear Johnny! You’ll have plenty of space to showcase your talent!” The happiest bovine in the world shows you where to go.
“You’re ignoring her? What’s the plan here?” Crossbill wanted to see Chio.
“If I know Johnny as well as I do, I think he wants to lure Mamariko with his food. It works with half the Edamuras we know.” Yu Yan acts like a wise scholar with a pipe she took from the table.
“Hmm, is it a good idea to treat them as wild animals? Wouldn’t she be too embarrassed to come out?” Amelia has mixed feelings.
“It ain’t easy to play dumb when you’re hungry, and Chio can get too honest to fault.” Crossbill argues.
“And you know how hilarious it is if it works? I’ll never let them live this down!” Yu Yan is excited about the fall of the Edamura household.
“T-That’s actually what I’m afraid of…” Amelia sees the end.
The kitchen is as big as your apartment before the expansion, including the dinner table. It’s pristine, all cookware in place, fridge and pantry are orderly. This place is a dream come true.
“We’re well-stocked here as well, Johnny. Please, feel free to get creative!” Nariko is your biggest fan!
“Thank you, I’m ready to get my hands dirty.” You stretch. You’re going to do a meal for Chio to remember…
From breakfast now to lunch, you prepare the most pretentious version of the food the Nautical Nariko offers; and by pretentious, you mean that you’re using high-quality ingredients. As far as you can tell, these aren’t high-end restaurant level, but the best items that the most expensive hypermarkets have to offer. All in all, it’s all good!
During the cooking, you heard the others having a merry time with Nariko playing the piano, it’s a nice background music for you to work with.
Once you’re done, you call the crew to the dinner table, and serve the Xumenlo delicacies for everyone to enjoy… And yes, you made a big fuss about it, and let the aroma go through the apartment with a fan (Yu Yan’s idea). Shortly after, Nariko receives a call before you can all dig in...
“You want me to bring you some of the food to your room? But you can come over here, Mother! We’d love for you to join us!” Naive Nariko strikes again. The bait is working! “Huh? You want me to be quiet? You don’t want them to think you’re desperate for a simple bite? You want me to stop repeating you word by word because it sounds worse than it is? They don’t know your tone of voice and they’d think the worst of you? They wouldn’t do that, Mother! F-Fine, I’ll figure out the meal situation. Farewell.”
