"I didn't kill that woman. I swore to protect her." As their accusation hangs heavy in the air, and your heart, a surge of anger courses through your body again. Once more, the image of the Other Rider casting Amane aside callously sears your mind. With great effort, you push aside the impulse to direct your anger towards the soldiers. They are not responsible for her fate. Instead, you search their faces for a glimmer of understanding, but they remain guarded and suspicious.
"Rider, if you know what's good for you, you'll power off the armor and surrender," Seesan declares with an icy tone. Gone is the understanding and level-headed officer from before. Ordinarily, you'd cooperate with them, but tensions are high, and you suspect this won't end with you being arrested.
"Please, just listen! You know me!" You take a step closer, but their grip tightens around their weapons. "I risked my life to help everyone back in Tokyo. I went out on missions, fighting against the Saurians, doing everything I could to protect humanity."
"That could easily have been a ruse, Rider," Seesan interrupts sharply. "No one saw what happened to you at the end of the Tokyo mission. It could have been a joint effort between you and the aliens. And what about the Arch-Dragon? Why didn't you fight if you weren't their ally?"
"I don't have all the answers," you respond earnestly, desperation seeping into your voice. "Something happened there, the Arch-Dragon retreated with a Machine Lifeform. I fight for the sake of all humanity, for our victory."
"Then what about earlier? The Saurians conveniently blocking every path except the one you took! Those bodies we discovered; how did you know they were there?" Henry's voice echoes with accusation. This question came up earlier, and you realize you never gave them a clear answer. While you hate lying to them, this is hardly the time for this. Instead of keeping this going, you make a different kind of appeal. Instead, you make a calculated move, hoping to expose this ill-conceived scheme.
Pointing towards the Other Rider's body, you announce what you know. "Look over there! There's your culprit, in fact, he's probably the one who killed those men and women. He's probably the one setting up all these weird coincidences. Didn't any of you see me fighting just now?"
