>>5325718https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PP9DGmkI-gwStomping towards you once more, you don’t give the guardian an opportunity to gain on you. Instead, you sprint headlong towards one of the groups of pillars that surround this place, allowing the robot to follow suit.
You don’t even have to look behind you, the pounding of the guardian’s heavy footsteps being enough to tell you that it’s gaining on you quickly. Taking a large, bounding leap, you bounce from pillar-to-pillar, setting your sights on the highest point.
You don’t stop until you reach the summit, swiveling around in midair and jumping onto the guardian right as it jabs its spear into the last spot you’d been clinging to.
Even on the arm, you’re an ant atop the giant, but, in the split-second the guardian takes to thrust its arm, you’re charging down the limb far too fast for it to keep track. And, once you reach the elbow, you’re driving both of your fins downwards to slash at the joint.
The metal easily gives way, as do a thick plethora of wires, but it’s not enough to sever the arm completely.
The guardian attempts to retaliate with its blocky, crushing fist, and, as you make for its shoulder plate, the strike misses you by the skin of your teeth.
In the midst of your escape, your eyes catch that orb again that, unlike the rest of the guardian, looks far more delicate than the rest of it.
You don’t spend long thinking on that, however, as your body is jerked harshly when the guardian dislodges his spear from the pillar, forcing you to cling to the plate. But, stealing a glance at the spear-arm, it’s visible that it’s far more dangly than it was before, the spear hanging almost limply from the elbow.
