“Girls.” You put your arms around them. “I said I’m going to protect you! Trust me!” You smile to show confidence.
“Phil, <span class="mu-i">sorrrry</span> for doubting!” Mirjam rests her head on the arm you’ve given her.
“Y’know, like, we get a lil’ silly sometimes, hehe!” Grace rests her head on your arm too.
“Don’t apologize for having a good amount of healthy skepticism.” Jesse is bothered by these lovebirds showing their appreciation. “Trusting him is fine. But he could be overestimating his abilities.”
“Have you seen the things Phil can do? He’s, like, the coolest, most reliable guy walking on earth! He can do almost anything!” Grace has you in the highest of esteems! “Are you sure you two are friends? Hmm?”
“And he always puts others over his wellbeing first! He’d never put us in danger!” Mirjam has total trust in you!
“Grace, Mirjam, he’s right. Besides, I make more mistakes than not.” You have to admit you’re not even close to the best. And for their own good, they don’t need to blindly trust you.
“Yeah, we know, you talked to us. Hehe!” Grace jokes around.
“Make all the mistakes you want. We know your heart is in the <span class="mu-i">rrright</span> place!” Mirjam goes tomato.
“We believe in you!” Grace smiles as she goes tomato too.
“I don’t want to make mistakes though.” You point out.
“<span class="mu-i">Exactly!</span> That’s why we believe in you!” Both tomatoes bury their faces on your chest. “And since you said you’d protect us…” They drag you inside the building! You’re inside the blue orphanage! Still as eerie as you remember it.
“<span class="mu-i">Humph.</span>” Jesse finds it fascinating the amount of trust these tomatoes have. He goes inside and checks on the pair of unconscious kids. “They’re sleeping soundly. We can leave them here if you’d like.”
