A wide workspace was there to greet us. But no employees.
[HALE] "You'll have to forgive me. I am a bit understaffed at the moment."
It was no worry to me, I likely didn't want to be seen a whole lot until I had a suitable disguise to use among mortals. Or was more comfortable in my appearance as a god among them.
Stepping out of his car, the first thing that I saw-
-was a empty mug in my face?
[ROBOT] "WOULD YOU CARE FOR A CUP OF TEA?"
Huh?
What's this...? A machine?
[HALE] "Oh, don't mind him. That robot just wandered in here one day and started serving tea to the employees I did have. It brews it pretty well."
[ROBOT] "MY TEA QUOTA HAS ALMOST BEEN FULFILLED HERE. ONE MORE CUP AND I MUST MOVE ON TO THE NEXT DESIGNATION TO OFFER TEA."
[HALE] "Ah, pity that."
The cup was again thrust in my face.
This model of robot somehow seemed familiar. I'm pretty sure they had these in Zahnlauf too, it was nostalgic.
[ROBOT] "TEA, MA'AM?"
>Yes... I'll have a cup.
>No thank you. You're weird.
