With every day that went by was a potentially lost world for the Xenos. Never has the Collective witnessed something like this before in its existence. Surely it would have been the Orks eventually, but instead it was a race of mechanized humans that destroyed everything.
They would arrive at a planet in a blaze of glory and secure several positions upon a planet. Immediately after they would start taking whatever they found their fancy that day. Such things ranged from Alkain production to the water of planets to even the water. There were even rumors that these mechanized creatures would take the corpses of slain Grek and turn them into a paste that was seen being eaten by their troops.
This race of xenos was so terrifying that they were quickly ingraining themselves into the thoughts of any who lived on the outer rims.
“Admiral Carne,” The voice of a representative from Mitu itself looked straight into the eyes of the Sloog he spoke to, “What do you think?”
“They are capable and vastly more intelligent than any human that we have come across. I think this variant of human was met on the planet they describe as… Mezoan?” The Blue and White Sloog known as Admiral Carne asked as he pointed to another report.
“That is indeed the case, but Mezoa was clearly within our sphere of decimation. They should not have been able to assemble a fleet this large without us noticing.” The Representative alerted as he tried to think long and hard, “Do you think… they came from the outside?”
The Admiral Sloog gave a nod as he reached over and lifted a recent report with his mind, “This here is the latest report in our research of the Northern Sector. Scouts have described a new civilization whose ships are distinctly similar to the one of the Mechanical Terror.”
The Sloog’s eyes widened as he quickly took the report from the psi-clasp of his fellow and read through the documents, “Impossible. Then that would mean…”
“We are surrounded.” The Admiral answered as he caused a nearby crystal to display their part of the galaxy, “We have always known that humans were all over the galaxy during the prehistoric era. That they held a great empire that they fondly remembered as the Federation. While we have prevented it with Decimation they have started to unite it seems.”
The sheer terror that the Admiral could sense from his compatriot said it all. The thought that humans were everywhere in the universe was not something new but the fact they were reforming their empire gave a stunning realization.
If they reformed, the Collective will not survive.
