>>5800128After the golden dragon's image disappeared, and she had taken the small device in her hands, Janette was deep in thought. Occupied by such questions as... Where even is her home? Is there a safe place here? If there was a safe place, would she even bother to try to get home?
To that, the current answer to that was a resounding, don't know. This place seemed more strange and dangerous asking her to restore some god like creatures rule, so getting home should be the first priority, but... Would she feel that way if safety and comfort were found? She would like to think so, but she is afraid as always, but this time she was afraid that she would just forget about her world and her family given a chance. It's better to stop than to seek a way forward when true safety is found. She glumly thought.
In the end, either way, staying in this cave was not an option in the long term, so she had to try to find a better place than a random cave at the very least. "Ah... Kotemon do you know where to go to find civilization?" She asked.
To that, she got two simultaneous calls. "No." "I have no idea." And they seemed really unconcerned with that lack of certainty.
"Right. Let's get moving. Even if we move in the wrong direction, getting corrected and turned around is better than not moving at all." Janette said, and she forced herself out of the cave with her companions right by her.
"So since you're both called Kotemon and both of you respond to that as your names, I think it would be a little confusing to leave it at that. Would you mind if I used nicknames for you two?"
At that, the Kotemon on her right shrugged, seemingly unconcerned. "I suppose it won't hurt. "I never thought about it, honestly."
"Oh, that would be cool! That would make us so special." Said the Kotemon on her left much more enthusiastic at the idea.
"Right how about...

Then bushes rusted, and a red creature ran out of the foliage just in front of her. It was a red and blue colored mammal thing of some kind, and it called out as it ran past them. "Run! They're coming this way!"
And as if on cue, the foliage shook again, still a ways away, but whatever was coming was clearly going to be much larger than the red thing that ran past. A loud, angry roar sounded from that direction, vaguely resembling a lion's roar from what little Janette could remember from documentary films she used to watch.
