"I shall think of a suitable punishment for you." You tell her, and her face reddens. You turn to the rest of the table. "Is there anything else I should know?"
"I found something pretty nice, guv." Cattleya responds happily. She speaks about a patch of magical fertilizer that she'd stumbled on. To everyone's amazement she places a bag on the table and takes out a mana crystal from it. You congratulate Cattleya and promise to give her a massage later.
"Ahem," Ruby tries to get everyone's attention. "The artifact is operational in the most ideal place to affect the entire mansion, including the basement and dungeons. All thanks to yours truly, my gallant Master~" Ruby says. You're actually pretty impressed she's been so efficient about it. You kiss her on the ear to show your appreciation, something she readily accepts with a blush.
Even here you could feel the purification of the artifact. It's anti-corruption power was an interesting thing, not having magic in itself but merely being something that gradually negates and reverses any corruption. No divine power, or any magic for that matter, was present in it. It was solely a tool that destroyed corruption, whether mental or physical, and nothing else.
The positive news was that while Cattleya was working on the telegram/radio station foundations she was able to find a mana crystal and some naturally occurring magical fertilizer. Both of these were extremely rare events, and even more fortunate was getting a good amount of it. With this you likely didn't have to worry about food for a good while, possibly never if you choose to study it, though this risked wasting it. If spread around properly you could easily double the orchard's and garden's sizes.
>Use it now to expand what you have.
>Use up most of it now, while keeping a smaller portion to research.
>Save it for later either use when you plant the saplings and newer seeds or to research.

The mana crystal had many uses, for instance you could upgrade the BoatMech to shoot an elemental projectile or use it to harden the estate's walls.
According to Herta that goblin cave was in the early stages of corruption. It wasn't powerful enough to cause ego-death or the like, and probably would never be, but it was still a long term issue.
Not much could be currently done about the goblin village, even the BoatMech was in danger of being destroyed by the orc and his minions if you brought it there now. But you could decide on where to focus on.
>Continue the patrols as they are. It was more important to protect the estate, especially with the fear of bandits and Forthwythe's forces coming this way.
>Do as you did before and have the clankers clear out a route to the collapsed cavern.
>Have Gerty send squadrons of clankers to kill the goblins that remain and any undead. (Interrupts Gerty's Healing Magic practice)
