>>6214117>>6214134>Action 1: Green KnightsOne cannot look too long at Ordalan or fight at the side of the Nixen armies and not notice the Holy orders that make up a significant portion of their military strength. But whilst many of their gods are shared with us, few Orcmen have joined the Nixen orders - most Orcmen warriors are Male, so outside of providing some Hildic recruits to the Spears of the Ashen Dawn such involvement with Holy Orders have been limited.
Now, though, this is to change. King Guyard II decides after the battle of the Vermillion Stand that Orcmanie must have their own coterie of Holy Knights to dedicate themselves as martial champions of the living to ride against the foul and the depraved. After some communion and words with the priests of his retinue the large, bold and valiant guard-companion of King Guyard and former Champion of the lists, Sir Gregutz Montagne, is hereby chosen as the first Grandmaster of the Order of the Enduring Bough; Bold Orcman Knights more holy then most with an initial intake drawn from his veteran soldiers and the Warrior-Priests. The Order is not intended to favour any of the Orcman pantheon; but Orcman Knights and Nobility are more traditionally drawn to Ganuz then to any other, and Ganuz is seen by the Orcmen as the Pantheonic head. Thus, it is Ganuz' favour and aspect that runs the highest among these Warriors, and after selecting an Emerald colour for their heraldry, the Order of the Enduring Bough fast become more commonly known among the ranks as the 'Green Knights'. Clad in their runic armour and blessed with Orcman physique and the God of War and Life, it is joked by some that you could cut off one of their heads with a war-axe and they'd just put it on again and keep on fighting. Still, there is place enough among their ranks for fiery war-smiths of Vaerz, humble warriors of Hilda and protective guardians of Luxorc; any who can prove pantheonic devotion, dedication and martial prowess.
>Action 2: Ways to disrupt Magic? The Foul Domo twist the worst of magics to forge souls into screaming blades. And whilst magic might still be overcome by holy protection, strength of mind and martial fortitude, these are not guarantees of success. Moreover, there are some who whisper other fears... quite apart from the repugnant Domo, the Vizari, the Guliseare, the Adenai and the Habitun all make use of their own magics. When you are surrounded by a force, even if friendly; should you still not prepare to draw up plans for the event it be turned against you? But finding a method that might oppose hostile mages is more easily thought then accomplished; practicality will have to be considered. In Portblanc eccentrics have taken wear skullcaps of the local tin-metal, claiming that it wards off magic energy - is there truth to this? And priests of Anos argue variously that Magic is but another wind, and the flow might either be disrupted or else bought fourth in glut to choke on.
