>>5353984Just the slightest bit of your own strength ends up causing Matt’s sword to fall right out of his hand, the weapon going airborne and landing a good distance away.
With your sword poised at his neck– an unspoken prompt for him to surrender– Matt looks around wildly, reaching to his side for a bat that doesn’t exist.
“Fold!” You exclaim, a sharp-toothed grin spreading across your face, because that’s Matt’s only option. It takes a good couple of moments, but he raises his hands slowly and reluctantly before throwing them down in a huff.
“Beginner’s luck!” Matt calls, scouring the overgrown fields for his sword. Evidently, he is highly salty about losing.
You, on the other hand, feel just a little more competent with the sword than you had been, but you just saved yourself from a few weeks worth of smug taunts, courtesy of Matt.
“And don’t try to hold that shit like a spear, cause I saw that– you were doing that the whole time!” His voice interrupts your train of thoughts. You could’ve sworn you’d been holding it correctly…
But who cares?! You won!
Even if you kind of fudged the ending with your strength, you can’t help but be a little proud of yourself for winning on your first try. Maybe weapons aren't all that useless if you can learn how to use them right-- never hurts to be more well-rounded, in your opinion.
Wandering off to see what the others are up to, you find that Bernard and Julia had been swinging around the swords as well with all of the grace of a pair of baboons.
Valjean’s motions, on the other hand, are leagues above either of the two, which is why you’re interested in seeing how the swordfight with him and Matt will go...
>Roll me some 2d100s-- one for Matt and one for Valjean!! BEST OF THREE!! GO GO GO!!!>(2/2)
