>(Write in)>Construct a simple ring Dry dock around the Argonaut, the ship being the seed point where the scaffolding was attached until project completion.>Material usage: 8 common materials and one rare material.>The ring, accommodating sturdy housing complexes meant to house shipboard crew for long periods with minimal maintenance, a cold fusion reactor to power ships during reactor shutdown and provide local power supply, and workshops meant to repair more complex shipboard machinery. My main reasoning for this suggestion is that without real genuine care for the Argonaut, the ship is likely to begin having genuine problems sooner rather than we likely expect. And if it dies now or in the next few years, the only FTL-capable ship we have, and thus the only possible contact with outside solar systems will be cut off.
This means no possible trade unless they miraculously come by despite the colony being on no map. As such, unless the Corp HQ holds some magical repository of knowledge, we would likely not be able to buy any blueprints from anyone either. And no potential immigration from trading near imperial space either.
It also means we would likely lose any system scale opportunities other than scouting with the patrol boats. as the Argonaut is the only real vessel we have left at the moment. So no further rare Material harvesting either. And if we lose it it will likely take decades to decipher the inner workings of how these ships are meant to work on a large scale without an actual example. Not to mention no potential access to Neutronium unless any of the blueprints we have somehow had a blueprint for a star-delving Neutronium harvesting ship.
I know i promised to vote for land clearing, but this suddenly got a lot more urgent after the perspectives were shown :(
Personal action:
>Make a central monument outside visible to everyone. The monument being a statue of every single person who came here and chose to live on this planet and a plaque with words from the person the statue represents. The statues made to stand strong no matter the weather.>Make it a holiday, that everyone (with maybe exceptions for critical jobs) has free on the day where the population made landfall. My personal suggestions to make everyone's moods better.
