>>6044405Stop reading my notes. Also sorry, this was a bit of a long one again.
>>6043658‘...I know you’re in the middle of a big fight right now, but, I have to bring this up. Zelos is beaten, not dead. Humbled, his grand project ruined, actually made him consider what he’s done wrong and… look, we’re here to stop tyrants, right? We’re not just going around killing gods. Not if there’s another way.’
There’s a beat of silence, one that worries you… but to your relief, it’s because she was having to focus on the fight at hand. ‘Look, I get that, I agree with what you’ve done, and I’ll try to pass it along, but I don’t know how well Hearts is gonna take it. Still… well, if he does have a problem, he’ll be telling me about it first, not taking it out on you.’
‘Thanks, Chuu Lee!’ You sigh in relief, but you hear Sala and Zelos still arguing over the whip sword. Better hurry this up and try to keep that argument from escalating. ‘Do you guys need any help?’
‘I think we’ve got it under control, but if you have something in mind…’
You grin. ‘I do. Just wait a little bit.’ Okay, you float back over to Zelos and Sala’s argument, with Chiaotzu looking on with slight concern, yet 19 more… amused by it than anything else.
“I believe your words have gotten to him, Izzy, because in spite of his anger, he’s still not resorting to violence.” she comments.
“The sheer Magical power residing in this blade would make anyone of your more limited strength struggle to even get near it!” Zelos declares. “This should not be possible!”
“CLEARLY it is, because I’m holdin’ it right now!” she yells back.
“Sala, Zelos!” you exclaim. “Let’s calm down a bit, guys. Look, at the very least, given that he’s the owner of the sword, we shouldn’t dismiss all of this so quickly. He’s not just blowing hot air here, even I could feel how strong that thing is. This is something to actually look into… but not right this moment.”
The pair look towards you, Zelos at least a little smug given you’re in agreement with him on this point. “I take it you have something else you wish to say then.”
“I’ll say it bluntly. I figure you know who Hearts is.” And as you say that, his expression grows more serious. “I want you to work with him.”
There’s a beat of silence.
“What.”
“You heard me. Work for the guy, show you’re actually learning from this, and… well, make it clear you’re actually trying to do good. I say this because I’ve met the guy, and for all I disagree with how you’ve handled this, I kinda don’t want him to try to kill you on the spot.” you explain. “If that means swearing your aid to him, so be it. But I want you to actually get the chance to try to be better and not be cut down for your previous actions.”
