>>5327986The Nameless High-Alchemist is promptly felled, wailing one final time before his entire form fades to the wind, leaving only one large bag of holding in the centre of the room. This day couldn’t come any sooner. After two long months, you’ve finally done it. Despite this, you’re still hung up on your earlier mistake. The ecstasy of achievement is dulled by rumination as you keep wondering what Skyfrost thinks about your slip up. He was calm in battle, but losing his cool then would mean the end of the party.
While the three Steelport players rejoice with Skyfrost, you stand a bit further, staring at the loot.
“As agreed, you guys can pick what you want first.” Stormgale says proudly. “The Steelport Society keeps its promises!”
Skyfrost cups his fists, approaching the bag. “In that case, please excuse us.”
You hesitate to move any closer.
Noticing this, Skyfrost asks “What’s up?”
“Is it okay?”
“Why would it not be okay?”
A short moment of silence passes.
“If I d-didn’t fuck up, we would’ve wiped them.” Your voice waves slightly.
“Is that what you’re worried about?” Skyfrost asks. “It’s not a big deal. Mistakes happen from time to time, can’t help it, especially in something as hectic as PVP. And wouldn’t it be boring if everything always went according to plan?”
Eastern Fog steps forward. “Indeed, don’t think too much of it. I should’ve paid better attention to my positioning as well.”
“This victory is possible only because of all of us present.” Stormgale affirms. “Go and seize your rightful rewards!”
You’re not quite sure what to feel. This is the first time you’ve been treated like this. However, you muster enough confidence to carry on forward.
Three players please roll a 1d20!
