>>5742976>can you sail *underneath* a Maelstrom? It has been attempted.
Unsuccessfully. The amount of competent seamen who don't respect the Maelstroms on top of every other nautical superstition are very, very, very few. So Maelstrom expeditions tend to be lost with everybody willing to undertake them.
The seasoned mariners shake their heads and say that there's no reason to find out exactly why water is wet, and the same with why you can't sail through a Maelstrom.
>>5742980>are the HQ's 16cms close enough to the sub they can fire without the turn delay? They are not, and do not have a direct view.
>>5742977> I see that my 5th subunit took one damage, but that's not noted in the attacks. It is a mistake, yes. I was changing it on the fly as decisions got changed around and I missed it.
It has been adjusted.
>>5742979>>5742990>I'd like some clarification in regard to how surprise encounters are rolled. Do you need to roll just regular initiative and have it adjudicated on that basis or does there need to be a separate roll for surprise encounter and the regular turn initiative? How it's supposed to be is a separate roll for the surprise encounter- but it hasn't always worked out that way, whether it's forgotten or otherwise. It's been inconsistent- so I didn't bother to make it separate for the enemy there with the natural 10 rolled anyways. Not good procedure, honestly, but the chances of it being different were minimal.
The Bellona has also been retroactively applied.
Anyways, this is the adjusted Turn 8 result- I felt the need to do this one more hastily with the amount that's changed by that token use.
