you can make a... pipe... pistol? shotgun? yeah shotgun suits those things way more
here in a [civilized non english country] we have a distinct name for those makeshift guns
so you take a pipe (NON PVC PIPE! PVC ones are all cuddly and fucky wucky with static electricity) and either fill it with the same match powder and nail heads as a substitute of gunpowder and ammo and then add a carton fillament so both of them won't spill
now you'll need an igniting mechanism... there are LOTS of those i can go over them for centuries but the most convinient one is piezoelectric thingy you can find in lighters (they are not very stable though)
you can also just heat it up with a lighter from outside but that's not very convinient since match powder takes quite some time to heat up through metal
what ignites almost instantly tho IS A HYDROGEN GAS!
which you can easily! get from combining aluminium powder and hydrochloric acid (or just an aluminium foil with a toilet/sink cleaner)
i think that it's a way better fillament than matchpowder and as a kid i prefered to use it over other substances
it kinda dissolves with time so it's not ideal but you can easily refill them

hydrogen is p deadly too but this s way better (in my experience) [in minecraft]

there are other cool things but i am high on leadless solder and all those formulas in my head make it even worse
