You waste no time here. You take the ZANAL tablet to steady your nerves before piloting your small drone after the entity. A small, electric buzz floods you from head to toe. GOD, your system lights up like a Christmas tree once it kicks in.
>-ZANAL, +1 TO ALL STATS!
>TALENT ROLL: 15. PASS!
Thank the lord you took something for your nerves. You damn near bumped the drone onto the wall of the front stage. A lucky steer at the last second prevents it from making any noise. You trail behind the entity with your drone. You actually have to move your drone a lot slower than you expect, <span class="mu-b">the biomechanical entity is pretty sluggish in its movements.</span>
The backstage area is as shitty as you would've expected from this building. Boxes that used to store various props and costumes are soaked completely with rain water. You trace this to the holes in the ceiling that have crumbled from sheer age. The entity moves over to the boxes regardless, bending over to search through them.
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] It's making an odd noise while it does so. The tinny audio receiver of your drone is barely able to catch it. It's...crying.
The costumes and props inside the many boxes backstage are beyond ruined. Anything made out of fur and cloth is a wet, bug ridden mess barely suitable for a fire. There's nothing rubber or latex left due to sheer age. Hell, even the metal and wooden props are hanging on by a thread.
"I CAN'T FIND IT! I CAN'T FIND THE FINAL PIECE TO THE SET!" Now that you're not hearing it from its perspective, the entity's voice is laced in a thick layer of hazy static. You might've thought its voice would be 'cute' or 'friendly' without it. "NO MATTER WHERE. NO MATTER HOW! THE FINAL PIECE ISN'T HERE!"
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] What could it be looking for? It doesn't seem to be crying over the lack of quality.
It reels back its leg and smashes it into a nearby wall in a fit of rage.
This knocks something loose above. You turn your drone up to see a metal beam from a catwalk way above falling all the way down to where the entity is. You move your drone back so it doesn't get hit. The rusted hunk of metal impales right into the entity's back...but only barely.
<span class="mu-b">The entity in front of you is vibrating at speeds you can't quite process.</span> It abruptly stops vibrating after a few seconds. The metal beam clatters to the floor in front of the entity, seemingly having phased right through it. There's only a small scratch on its back from the initial impact.
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] So it can sense pain and has a fast enough reaction time to do that feat. That is troublesome.
"NOTHING CAN STOP THE SHOW YET." It smashes a foot down on the beam, leaving a massive dent on the rusted hunk of metal. "THE DIRECTOR DID NOT ORDER FOR THE SHOOT TO END." It slowly limps over to a nearby corner of the backstage. It looks down at the various costumes and props it has wrapped around it.
"I NEED TO FIND. THE DIRECTOR. <span class="mu-b">HE HAS TO BE NEAR.</span>"
