I think maybe this is the true cause of the feud, not that one time, Erde, when you revealed that the Vicomte actually had no knowledge of sorcery, had never touched a woman and lived with his mother before the entire Court. You probably should not have done that. But what if my hypothesis is correct... the villainous Vicomte is to blame... after all, were he not a spy himself, how would the Vicomte have recognised the Langkasukan robe? Perhaps he arranged for it to be there...
