“Our races are capable of not just cooperation, but coexistence!” Hoff beams. “You of all people should know that well enough. That is why it pains me that things must come to this.” Hoff fiddles with some sort of mechanism attached to the Count’s desk. As he does so, the ‘Viskam’ as Anemone called them, begin whirring and coming to life, the energy inside them pulsating more and more rapidly.
“Blair, those things aren’t just for show.” Anemone warns. “They’re Agarthan weapons. They track their targets, frying them to a crisp with beams of energy. Hoff must be controlling them with some sort of mechanism attached to that desk. If we can stop him, the Viskam should deactivate!”
That task seemed easier said than done. The three maids begin slowly walking in step, drawing closer to you with those blades outstretched. Jess walks ahead of the others, in a formation that seems all too familiar to you. As you study them closely, you can plainly see that they are well-coordinated, and plan to fight you as a cohesive unit. If you try to rush towards Hoff, the three of them would fall upon you as one. The familiarity in their movements finally dawns on you. They were readying a Triangle Attack.
The Viskam begin emitting a high-pitched screeching noise. There was no time left to think. You had to act fast.
