“Well, the leaders of the cult have been pushed out of the city. All that’s left is the cleanup.” you said in a hushed tone.
Vic nodded and let a smile tease the corners of her lips. “Great. Then I guess we don’t need to stay here anymore.” she said, sounding more than a little relieved.
“I’ll do you one better. How would you like to go on a little vacation?” you offered. “You know, get away from it all before things get a little crazy again.”
At first, it looked like Vic might jump at the chance. But she paused, considered your words, and then frowned at you. “Why now? What’s going on?” she asked.
You sighed and rubbed the back of your head. You should’ve known that this wouldn’t be easy. “There's something brewing in this city, Vic. Things are about to get chaotic in the next coming days. I just wanted you to know so you and Pete could be safe.” you said.
Vic crossed her arms and leaned back a bit. “And what will you be doing while all this is going on? Why‘re you staying here if you know that it’ll be dangerous?” she said.
What will you say?
>”I’ve got unfinished business here. Don’t worry, I’ll manage.”>”Considering everything that’s been happening these past few days, it’s probably not a good idea for me to go with you.”>”Someone’s gotta keep a lid on things while you’re gone. I want to make sure that there’ll still be a city for you to come back to.”>”I’ll be helping a friend settle a dispute. Hopefully, it won’t take too long.”>”Trust me when I say this, but you don’t wanna know.”>Write-in.Pastebins:
