Let's take to the skies," you declare, your voice filled with determination. "Take the hoverbikes."
Following your lead, the rest of them select the Dive Cycles, the base model of your Ride Hopper. Together, the four of you rev the engines of your bikes, a burst of excitement coursing through your veins. Three of you go back and forth, almost like a game, and then you blast forward, blazing bright trails behind you as you soar. The castle fades into the distance behind you, and you accelerate into the open skies, the wind rushing through your hair.
For the next hour, the group engages in some light chatter, leaving you with a lot of time with your thoughts. Driving out into the open roads brings back a sense of nostalgia that you've missed. Admittedly, there were no flying cycles in your time, though the excitement of holding down the accelerator is as exciting as always. It might have been fun to look at the ground and imagine the people as ants. Unfortunately, the roads are far emptier than they used to be.
Amidst your thoughts, you feel a creeping tingle nagging at you, as if you were being watched. Of course, you are being watched, the soldiers have to know where they're going after all, so you try to ignore it. As you approach Mount Fuji, you spot the entrance to the underground tunnel and come to a stop. Despite the fact that you weren't going to use it, it was still on the way. The sound of three other engines grows closer as your companions halt behind you.
"What's up?" Seesan asks. Following your gaze, he notices it too. The entrance to the underground Manaway has been collapsed, you wouldn't have been able to enter anyways had you chosen the any of the earthbound vehicles. It looks like it was good fortune that you felt like flying, one of your party doesn't see it like that though, and starts muttering something.
"Hey! Guys, I'm reading increased Saurian movement on my scanner!" Tyri suddenly exclaims, her voice laced with concern. Following her announcement, she fills the rest of you in on what her long-range sensor package had found. The alternate route around the mountain and even the lower roads are now swarming with Saurian grunts. But why? The roads you weren't going to take are now blocked off?
Tyri looks around nervously, then gives voice to her thoughts, "So we're lucky! Rider made the right call, making us get air vehicles! I mean, it's not like you knew this would happen, right?" Suddenly, everyone is looking at you.
