The road to get to it is in bad shape, hard to follow at points and there are no streetlamps on the way there. You had better put your cellphone on flashlight mode to find your way up," Setsu rubs the back of his neck as he explains the route in more detail. It looks strange to see your sempai wearing the blue hakamas and white gi of a temple employee.
"I... don't have my cellphone on me. You need to come with me to get up there," you explain, but the answer from Setsu is disappointing.
"I can't. I can lend you this flashlight instead. I need to make sure these girls get picked up by their parents and also wait for the search party that's heading over here. You should wait for them since you're not familiar with the area. In fact, I think I can hear them now. Listen."
There's a moped careening towards the Shrine at high speed. It comes into view and a familiar person is riding into the parking lot. It's Yamato, his grim, determined face is luminous in the moonlight. He skids to a halt in the parking lot. It's pretty impressive. Dust and rocks spray out in a dramatic slide stop... which ends in a crash. Smaller bits and loose pieces scatter about as the moped skitters out from beneath its rider for a few seconds before stopping.
"OUCH! FUCK!" Yamato howls. He had slid pretty badly over the rough ground and the friction of the road has worn through parts of his clothing. Somewhere in the debris strewn about, the stuttering light of his cellphone gleams in the darkness.
