Eulia took to the skies again and left the estate, though not before profusely thanking you between her jumble of words. She, in a quickened voice, declared how much fun she had while staying here.
"HopeIcancomebackheresoonitwasgreat!" She smiled, giving you a quick hug. "Thank-you and good-bye!"
"See you later, Eulia." You said to her as she rapidly became a dot in the sky.
As for you, you continued to tinker with the Orb. You made sure it wouldn't use as much mana, and had it last longer. But those were secondary when compared to how you managed to give it sound. It was cheap at first, almost robotic, but then you were able to use the nature of the aether in this universe to make accurate voices and sounds be heard. The only trouble with these upgrades was the fact that it was slightly more easier to detect someone was spying. You used it to check up on Aila, and though you wanted to hear her voice again you had to deal with the fact that she didn't interact with many people throughout her day. Was she really this isolated?
After that, you wasted no time in using the Orb against Rostchilde's company, taking a look at the lives of all the employees.
Here you confirmed some of the worst rumors about Rostchilde's company— mistreatment, child labor, bribes, corruption, and threats were all rampant, even stumbling upon few new abuses that weren't in the rumor mill. Rostchilde, despite being infamous for how lecherous he was, hadn't harassed a woman in some time. While many speculated why this was, you knew the truth.
You wrote about all names, faces, and places that might be of interest. Most of it centered in Centria, but you looked over the relevant places you might plan on hitting.
It was almost shocking how cartoonishly cruel Rostchilde's company was, practically verging on parody at this point.
Ruby was particularly pleased about your discoveries, saying that it could make for good blackmail material for future use. Some of the more desperate workers and corrupt guards might be susceptible to bribes, though she also saw ways to stir paranoia in some members of Rostchilde's inner circle.
Catty seemed to have different ideas— wanting to use any info to directly fuck with Rostchilde's company. It was clear that all who worked under Rostchilde (save for his inner circle) tended to resent him at best, and Cattleya thought that convincing some people to sabotage things from within, throwing a wrench in the operations of Bed and Barn Inns, would cause enough of a disruption to distract everyone and save her dad.
While Catty and Ruby had their own ideas, you considered incorporating both of these plans together, or maybe even creating a new one. Ruby was getting on that, and would prepare a bunch of schemes from you to choose from.
Aside from all of that, you couldn't forget about other important matters: You now had some more aluminum thanks to the automation you gave the forge.
[Gained 200lbs of aluminum]
