I was trying to find a complete HD video link to the documentary he made that I remembered this from, I couldn't find it the best I could get was some youtube one which appeared to be very popular on Discovery Channel India for some reason.
There is also a very good scene where Bear Grylls does the thing from Star Wars Empire Strikes Back and crawls inside an actual disembowelled camel carcass with wriggling bloated and distended purple intestines for warmth comfort and shelter, I enjoyed watching that real life reenactment
