I can't really recall seeing the virgin requirement in any other previous Fire Emblem game. The "pure-hearted maidens" bunk is a thing, but given that you fight a slew of enemy pegasus knights in every game, I don't see that as being all too accurate. Aversa is a good example of that. I think Male pegasus knights takes away a bit of the mystique of the original class and what they were going for though. The rules change from game-to-game, so I just went with something vaguely in the middle.
