A sudden thought struck the Knight as he heard those words. Here he was asking for a Dragon to fight against Chaos, and if the Knight understood correctly this Dragon had been fighting since before mankind walked the earth. It would have been the perfect bulwark against the forces of Chaos and challenged them on the shores of Albion without even the slightest of risk to itself. Indeed there was Grimidal, but if the creature he was talking to was righteous then that would not matter.
That was not the case. This beast had stayed upon its mountain and watched as Chaos attempted to take over the Island and reap from it the secrets of domination. If the Von Carstein had her way with the Lizardman Temple, who knows what kind of magics she would have learned by using the massive scrying array that was built by the Old Ones. The kinds of secret artifacts that she could find.
A shiver went down Lucian’s spine. It was a truest fear that what she was seeking could be the keys to dominating mankind. Perhaps she was looking for something created by her very Master, Nagash, which had been lost. And if she had gotten that knowledge and distributed it amongst the Vampires it would have been their doom.
