Now that you’ve discovered them, they likely intend to crash against the Black Eagles main forces before you can give off a warning. Unfortunately for them, they’re far too late. Gathering up the magic necessary, you summon two fireballs, circling the tip of your staff. You infuse them with the necessary energy but are careful not to go overboard. You’re attempting a controlled burn, not a forest fire, after all. The sniper below doesn’t bother you during this endeavor, allowing you the preparation and precision you need to ensure you don’t mess this up. Once you’re ready, you launch the fireballs towards your target, intent on sending the enemy below to hell.
The twin fireballs collide down into the forest with a large explosion. The magic infusing the fire, combined with the woods below, will ensure a steady and powerful blaze that will engulf those below, but not spread out to the surrounding forest where your friends are. You’re too far high in the sky to hear anything resembling screams, but watching the flames below, you’re certain you hit your mark. As you hover above the forest admiring your handiwork, sure enough, two bodies emerge from the tree line. Both look badly burnt, and don’t appear to have any of their friends joining them.

At the front of the fighting, the second Demonic Beast lays dead on the ground, with the third currently being worked on by the Professor. You’d heard that before she became a teacher, during her time as a mercenary, she was known as the Ashen Demon. Watching her fighting from above, you get where the name comes from. The enemy is being pushed back, and a squad of Black Eagles, composed of Petra, Lindhardt, Corrine, Caspar and Ferdinand are now moving further into the forest, towards where Kronya is waiting.
“Thank you for the fire. It will serve well to burn your corpses after we’re finished here.” Kronya taunts.
