“Grab Silvermane and his daughter.” you said, staring out at the chaos unfolding before you. “We’re getting out of here.”
None of you wasted any time in heading back down and snatching up Silvermane. His men seemed to greatly protest this unprofessional attitude that you were developing with your boss, but Silvio didn’t seem to mind. His thoughts were on something else entirely.
After you explained the situation to him and explained your intention, his face seemed to go pale for a moment. He glanced back at his men, took one long look at those who had sworn their loyalty to him and his family. You saw a few of the guys that you’d befriended while you were here. Stefano, Giovanni, Fat Tony. Damn were you gonna miss Fat Tony…
His face set into a frown, and you saw his eyes flash with anger and determination. He turned away from them and pulled his daughter close to him.
“Boss…?” Fat Tony asked, confusion evident in his tone.
“I’m sorry, boys. I truly am.” Silvio said, tightly shutting his eyes and clenching his hands so tightly that you thought he might draw blood. Finally, he nodded to you, and you moved to grab him.
Multiple guns went up, the doomed maggia unsure of what was transpiring here. But when Silvermane and Saya were whisked away by you and your team, leaving only them standing in the pit, they seemed to get the idea. It was as if you could see the hope and strength leave their bodies, as knowing despair sank in to replace them. They were on their own. After their years of faithful service, after everything that they’d sacrificed to get here, they were being abandoned to their fate. The only things filling their pockets now were loyalty, false hope…and a dime.

You’d just barely managed to slip away by the skin of your teeth. Silvio had a haunted look in his eye as he ran his fingers along the slide of his decorated pistol. None of you spoke for a long while. Everyone recognized the Maggia Don’s need for space, including Saya.
When he finally looked up, he seemed to cast a hateful glare at your unexpected tag-a-long.
In all the chaos, Flint showed an impressive amount of forward thinking by grabbing the guy that had been at the center of all this chaos. Sitting in the corner of the room of one of Silvermane’s safehouses, still unconscious, was none other than Slip.
Silvio’s grip visibly tightened on his pistol and a nervous energy swept over the entire group. Everyone knew what he was thinking of doing. The question was: Could you persuade him against it?
What will you do?
