The party made their way into the tunnels, their objective set for the erradication of the Skaven monsters who were controlling the cistern. It was clear, at least to Lucian, that the Skaven had been modifying the dirt laden sewers to more of their liking. Doing things like sealing tunnels meant to help furrow out the waste from upper Bastonne to make their place more habitable.
As they walked down the slops the structures that the Skaven were building were becoming more elaborant and demented. It was clear at one point, where the tunnel suddenly jetted in one direction, that they were crossing into the holds that were for ratmen. The scaffolding made by man’s hands had become butchered and haphazard, like they were going to collapse at any moment.
Such was things made with the hands of Skaven.
Occasionally the Skaven would prepare an ambush, but even before the party would approach them the giant Kroxigor was already saying something in its gutteral tone to the Skink master.
“Another ambush has been laid ahead.” The Skink said as he raised a hand, “Vermin do not get far from Sotek.”
As if a leash had been released the Kroxigor rampaged quickly ahead of the group and made a sudden direction change into the hole that the vermin had made for themselves. Instead of being a place of ambush though it was a prison that had not escape from the vicious jaws of the monster who was their greatest terror.
They waited a moment for the slaughter to slow before advancing, by the time they were finished the Kroxigor was returning to them to take point infront of Adok. While a Dwarf would never find themselves lost underground it was the nose of a monster bred for this exact combat which made their advances so easy.
The one thing that irked Lucian as they walked wordlessly was that the tunnels have yet to shrink. He would have thought that the Skaven, being a race of small rats, would have purposefully made their warren tunnels small to prevent this very kind of intruder.
It was a corner after they passed it that they arrived in another long tunnel, at the end clearly being the fortifications of the Skaven strung up in preparation for their onslaught. Would it help them the Knight did not know.
>Let the killer kroc go in
>Charge in with the Lizard!
>Ask the mages to kill them from afar
