You tell him about his sister coming to you, telling you of her problem and then leaving earlier today to go spend time off world. But at this his anger explodes, your son surging to his feet.
“And you just let her go?!” he shouts, clearly angry. “Where is that bitch Arti, I'm going to rip her apart!”
“Calm down Maza. She's already handled.” you say, Maza freezing. He looks down slowly at you, his expression slightly worried. But you give him a smirk. “Your mother's got her, and has had her in her realm since your sister left. Whatever you'd do to her would be a mercy compared to whatever Towa is doing.”
“I...See.” he replies, trying to suppress a shudder running up his back. Clearly he has an idea of what she's doing to that girl. “Would have been more merciful to just kill her.”
“If you want, I can teleport you over there, if they're not too busy.” you say, Maza shaking his head. “You sure?”
“No. After what happened, I reckon it's best to let her have some time without her powers.” he tells you, sounding as if something similar'd happened before. Which confuses you, how would he.... Wait. Did something like this happen back when they were prisoners of the Time Patrol? You hadn't thought to ask her, but as you see Maza turn, looking back towards the cliff you'd both been sitting on, decide not to ask him right now either. You'll ask your daughter yourself, at some point when she's ready to talk. “I'll find my own way. Perhaps Chaya will... Wait, she's gone too? And Ace?”
“They left not long ago. They joined Mechikabura and the new Time Kai, Aeos to rebuild the Time Patrol.”
“Really? Aeos?” he asks, raising a brow and bringing a hand to his chin. Clearly he knows more about this Aeos than you, Towa no doubt having shown him the former Time Kai before. “Huh. Well, I guess if we need an interim Time Kai, a former Time Kai'd be the best choice.”
“So, what now?” you ask him, turning your son's attention back to the present. “How do you plan on moving forward?”
“I have to improve myself. But, not as much physically.” he says, looking down at his right hand a moment. He then raises his gaze to yours, determination burning bright. “I need a favor.”
