Ava. Noelle.” You wave the two over–they stand quiet by the entryway, hoods and cloaks over their inhuman features. “We’re to see about explore a lead on the armor’s curse–one of those foul RESURRECTIONISTs might have the magic to break it. She’s just outside. Would you like to accompany us?”
“We’re already off to the CORPUS DELICTI, then? Fine.” Ava shrugs. “I was beginning to get bored. Let’s go, Noelle.”
Your party follows out for the shrine’s exit–while you accrue a few strange glances, you manage to leave without much objection. You leave the shrine with fresh readiness and vigor. And as you leave, all your readiness becomes a sickly wave of vertigo that wrench its way up from your gut. You take a few shaky steps forward as you prop yourself against the wall, your face pale. The doll lays a hand under your shoulder.
You manage only a short look at the block around you from your entrance, but it looks like dark, gothic architecture, curved angles and sharp turns, an immense sea of stars beneath you. Your vision begins to fade.. “Hey, hey.” The dhampir claps her hands in front of your face. “Take a deep breath with me. You humans tend toward this kind of reaction when you first enter this block. It’ll only get worse from here, so suck it up.”
The berserker herself shambles dizzily just up ahead, and with each uneven step comes a jange of steel..
You manage to steady yourself enough to pull yourself up into a stand. You look the block over once more. It’s made up of gothic architecture, black steel points and wrought iron curves, more recognizably structured and formed than the tumorous mess of architecture of the COFFIN. But this area almost resembles an upside down tower–the ceiling above is made up of stairs that lead downward, while the floor you stand on is curved and warped like a ceiling..
“If you’re to vomit, don’t do it on my cloak.” Ava nudges you. “You said you had a lead, did you not? Lead the way.”
