“This isn’t exactly set in stone. I need to make sure that W likes her new environment, or else we’d all be wasting our time.”
“True. But I’d still like to be there to check things out.” Gwen argued.
“Alright, fine. But you’ve gotta promise that you won’t blab to anybody about where we’re going. With these people, their privacy is a matter of safety, not just comfort.”
Gwen placed a hand over her heart and nodded firmly. “I promise not to tell a soul.”
There weren’t a whole lot of people that you could take at face value, but Gwen was one of them. She always said what she meant and meant what she said. The girl was so straight-laced that it almost felt like a crime to try and lie to her.
Now, the Green Beret was another case entirely. Like Jekyll and Hyde, the two were polar opposites. Lucky for both of you, the Green Beret wasn’t home right now.
“Then I’ll let you know when to come meet us.” you agreed.
And you should probably invite Abe as well. He’d want to be in on this. Maybe it would help improve his mood a bit. He’s been feeling down ever since he heard about what happened to dad. You’re not entirely sure of how he feels about Vic, either.
The tall woman beamed at you. “Great! So…who’s she going to stay with in the meantime? Me or you?”
>”Me. I’ve got a room available for her.”>”If you think you can stop Hill from sinking her claws into her, then you’re free to take her.”>”Why don’t we let her decide?”>Write-in.Pastebins:
