>R and X to Bond with Velvet, burn a bag and calm her down. X goes in first, R after.
"BARK!" Employee R yelps as she's dropped onto the floor by Employee X. The last bag is carried on her back. Employee R keeps yelping as Employee X enters the cell.
The velvet royal is busy looking at her outfit.
Employee X slowly drops the bag onto the floor.
Employee X raises her arms up in defense, just in case.
She slowly starts to back up while avoiding drawing any attention.
The royal looks up, not noticing her at first. Considering the only other object of interest...
ANOMALY: Littering? Such a disappointment. Not the first one either.
ANOMALY: No one shall litter at our estate.
A ball of roaring fire is sent flying towards Employee X.
Employee X is sent flying out of the containment cell. Thanks to being an android and the salty bathrobe, only minor damage is done to her face and legs. Her head is on fire, though.
"Go in." Employee X commands the dog. The dog rushes in, without the robe (can't exactly be worn on her, you know?). Employee X proceeds to stop, drop, and roll.
The bag is in flames, slowly burning away.
The anomaly is glaring daggers at it. Her mouth is twisted in a forced, furious grimace.
R: Bark!
The anomaly looks over at the new noise. Her face softens.
R: Bark! Bark! Bark!
Employee R rushes over to the anomaly and jumps onto her lap.
She squirms and shifts around before finding a "comfortable" position on the lap to rest on.
ANOMALY: Oh. Lalonde. Thank you for coming in my time of need.
The anomaly gently rubs the fur of the dog. Employee R holds her whimpers as her fur is burned off.
ANOMALY: I can always rely on you to be here. When the burden of my status overwhelm my fragile constitution.
It sighs. Super heated air rushes into the containment cell.
ANOMALY: Littering. Burnt cooking. Insolent cleaning staff. This world is not what it used to be.
ANOMALY: It used to be better. When the legacy I had meant something.
R: Bark...
The heat is getting to Employee R but she stays until she's 100% certain.
Employee R stares at the burning bag. Ready to jump the moment it's gone.
ANOMALY: Thank you. Only a dog can understand after all. Isn't that funny?
ANOMALY: Even when I was young, it was the dogs who helped.
The bag is fully burnt. Employee R hops off the anomaly's lap and quickly makes it for the door.
The anomaly looks back at its outfit, clumps of burnt dog fur on her lap.
Dogs don't care about wealth or fame. They care about what you are.
ANOMALY: Such a wonderful life. Wasted. If only I knew my foolishness.
The flames of the anomaly slowly dull to a light flicker.
Employee R lays on the cool steel floor, trying to get any comfort from her overheating. Seeing her hurt sucks but she's one of the best ways to keep it calm.
