>>6285615>OrcmanieThe cursed lands wrought by the machinations of the Domo do not lay in sight of Ganstand, nonetheless their presence is felt keenly. Green knights and warrior priests ride from the fortress on regular intervals, responding to cries for help from the isolated Ordalan homesteads on the border. The construction of a forge district in Colnaude is a welcome relief to those nearby, keeping arms and armor in fighting shape even during regular use.
Also welcome is the construction of a quarry into a deep pit of pale yellow limestone, allowing the many citizens of Colnaude to replace pole and sailcloth homes with that of firm stone walls. Curiously this yellow stone is seemingly filled with sea shells and the bones of odd creatures of the sea. Did the gods pull this entire region from the ocean at some point? Regardless, a local custom begins of accenting the bones in the stone with splashes of color, or in more affluent areas even trying to reinvision the ancient sea floor that might have been in this area.
Strikes into the cursed lands meet with little success, the mockeries within have little interest in direct confrontation and the terrain has turned strange and cursed. A platoon of orcmen might travel an hour in one direction only to return where they started, or turn a corner and find themselves miles away. There is little in the way of settlements to strike or destroy as well, leaving those within to wander, hoping for enemy contact.
