He only had to think to himself for a moment before he decided where to go. As the Arch Dominus left the room the newly formed Steel Wardens walked behind the Primarch deeper into the Onus Probandi.
Contrary to what a normal bodyguard would be expected to wear they were all equipped with relatively light armor. Such a form of power armor made them much more skilled in the arts of melee and quick reaction combat but it also played a sort of trick. Unaware to many, each and every one of these Acillians carried upon them a Refractor Field that was equal in strength to their brother’s baseline power armor.
It was one of the many tricks these Acillians employed. Talk was among the men that they would seek out mechanrites that were also equipped with pistols so that they could fire more bullets. It was an idea, though TalOS expected it originated from the fact that over half of those in his guard were from the planet of Helmnet. Only a few, such as J4CK BR1GHT, were veterans among them.
It made one fact obvious to TalOS. Without a standardized mental conditioning the Acillians kept with themselves a piece of their home world. They are all loyal to him and the Machine God ultimately but the fact is they still have memories of home and previous lives. Would this make them fight harder or be harder to control? That TalOS never wished to find out.
The hallways were busy with activity as TalOS walked through. The only reason he was not slowed down is that every Servitor, Tech Priest, and Serf thought it prudent to stay out of the way of the Arch Dominus who controlled this exhibition.
Blatant but respectful, TalOS realized that after so many years of service it had become second nature to expect such a thing.
It was soon after this that TalOS approached his destination. He could feel the Steel Wardens behind him tense as the deathly energies of their destination crawled into their bones. Looking around only the Servitors and other mechanical beings decided to travel this part of the ship. Serfs were surely terrified of the place and TalOS had placed an order to prevent all but approved Tech Priests from approaching these quarters.
He could not take a Tech Priest thinking himself righteous for slaying a child.
