Mang was biting his fingernails now, providing them with the most grooming they've had in a presumably long, long time.

I opened my eyes and looked at him. He had an earnest plead for help about his face. That kind that anyone who gets in deep with the Afterseas ends up having. And clearly, he doesn't know how to begin turning against the Khanate... since he's practically a manchild still.
