Then it would just be a matter of taking out each Floor Guardian from there until you reached the top.
“Speaking of badges.” Kosmas says. “The numbered badges that you all wear also possess the same effect. Using the badge of one of your fellow competitors will also allow you to skip ahead five floors. How you obtain these badges is, of course, up to your discretion.”
So, killing your fellow competitors wasn’t just a way to eliminate them. It was also a way to ensure you remained ahead of the pack. That would add some difficulty when it came to forming any alliances. Already, you could see your fellow competitors eyeing each other warily. You imagine they were thinking the exact same thing.
“Heh, nothing we gotta worry about though, eh?” Butch leans over to whisper in your ear. “They’re counting us out already cause they think we’re stupid. I say, let these pansies start off on their higher floors. They can have as big of a head start as they want. There’ll be no escaping us.”
