Taking a knee, you spawn a glob of honey in a honeycomb cup, extending it to the trembling Daughter. She hesitates, at least until she catches the sweet scent of what you've prepared and finally takes it with as much caution as her frayed nerves allow.
"I take it you didn't have a fun time?" You open, with the Hassan taking a tentative lick of the honey with her pitch black tongue, leaving a trail of ash in its wake. She quickly nods, eyes still hidden behind the bashful bangs that conceal most of her face.
"If you haven't taken anything, then I'm fine calling Dorian's level design punishment enough. But I'd like to ask a few questions before you go."
"Y-yeah. Completely fair. Totally cool." She nods again, shooting the young man at your side a nervous glance before downing what remains in her cup.
"Firstly, were you the only one in there? Where's the rest of your team?" You ask, a small swarmling slipping out of your hive and hovering over to the girl's cup to give her a generous refill of honey.
"Yeah, I…I'm the only one." She admits, voice tinged with shame. "The rest of my team is probably back at base by now. They scanned and saw what you'd done to the place. Said it couldn't be breached. I…thought differently."
Then, to Dorian; "Were…were the lion seals necessary?"
"They worked, did they not?" He replies with a small shrug, hands folded primly behind his back.
…making a mental note to ask Dorian what the *fuck* he did to your home at a later date, you instead focus on more pressing matters.
"Secondly, what did you actually know about this job? You got any idea who put out the listing? Did they tell you who we were, or just that we had something they wanted?"
"Not enough, or else I…n-no, sorry. The rest of the family said that initiates only had to follow orders." The would-burglar explains as you ask Gina to run a quick x-ray of the Roost, just to ensure nothings missing. "I'm new. Only been running with them for a week, I think? It's still hard to tell time."
"...How long have you been awake, Miss?" The young man to your right asks, suddenly.
"Two weeks…maybe? Almost that, I'm pretty sure." The girl mumbles, about as far from 'sure' as one can get. "Anyway, the big sisters only told me and the other initiates that this place used to belong to Mara, but that she'd left for the Cord and someone else had moved in. That's all I know, honest."
{Roost is clear} GG informs you privately just as you open your mouth to ask your next question. {Nothing's out of the ordinary, but Julia's boo is going to have to clear out the screaming teleporters and the hall of bile rats before we can settle in}
…what the goddamn, Dorian?
