Elsewhere in Noir, the pilots were running ragged. The attacks on the bombers were exhaustive. There was so many Prußenmark's in the air one could be made to believe that it was their entire air corps. Attrition was taking it's toll on Noir. Yet, despite the rookies dropping one by one, the aces still managed to do well. Especially Levia, who was at four victories so far for the week, and eager for more. She would get her wish, all be it in a twisted way. For her flight would be beset by the traditional foe. Falke D.III's. The D.II's seemingly having been phased out, at least on this area of the front. Their foes had the traditional markings indicating that of volunteers from the Confederacy of Abmeryk States. It was nothing she hadn't dealt with before, however there was just one problem.
There were outnumbered, and there was at least two ace pilots among the enemies number if the custom decals on their aircraft were to be believed.
This posed quite a few problems as she hardly ever got the chance to actually get more than a second burst off before being forced to pull off an attack. Every second of this dance bringing them closer and closer to the ground as the dogfight descended. Yet despite this, rounds were still connecting with her aircraft. And the strange noise her engine started making did not bring confidence in her. And so, with a risky move, she held focus and remained on one of the enemy aces tail longer than she should have, fired, and sent them down. They crash landed mere seconds later. Levia pulled hard to avoid fire before her own engine started to sputter out and die forcing her in the awkward position of having no real power, low to the ground, behind enemy lines... All of this made more awkward by the fact the pilot she downed and most surely wounded was, relatively speaking, not that far from where she was going to be forced to land...
At least she wasn't dead. She surely could sneak back to her side of the lines, right? Just had to go through Sveiterland. Nothing too difficult, right?... Not a day later she was already being transported to a temporary POW camp...
