Above the Omnissiah there had always been storms raging above, a sign of his divinity that allowed those that followed him to both easily find and flock to his banner. Such storms were heavily ionized with the warping reality that the Omnissiah had placed upon the world and as such made it nearly impossible for Omnispex Scanners.
Such was the reason that when the forces of the Titan Legion came towards Particep Semper that they could not see what was above them.
When the angels of the Omnissiah came down upon the Titans they were blind to their arrival. Their senses being limited to the helm of the Titan and whatever vid readings that were avalible to them across the vessel kept them from seeing what was directly above their Avatars. The Pterraxi and Proelitors learned of this fact and quickly followed the wordless instruction by their sovereign to take advantage of the skies.
Thanks to the Motive Force they were unimpeeded by the rain, and quickly they infultrated two of the four Warlord Titans like microbes to a mortal body. Just like microbes they began to eat at the numerous pieces of machinery and flesh that made up the internals of the Titans.
Such damage was done easily through the use of flamers, lasers, and meltas that scored massive scars across their bodies with ease. Each and everyone of them bled, let it be oil or blood, with the deft hand of the warriors in question eliminating them.
There were those who attempted to hold back the pathogen of death. Those who were members of the who had become slaves to the Legio Mortis or those so loyal that they came with their Princeps into damnation. They fought with the boarders with chainswords and pistols with what must have been extreme bravery or insanity.
These people however could not win. The Proelitor were but armored juggernauts and the Pterraxi were each equipped with sterilizing flamers that easily sliced through the flesh of the unfaithful. In these tight quarters where many of these fighters found it impossible to bring anything greater than a heavy bolter quickly found themselves adequately equipped.
Of these groups, the one led by a Steel Warden Dreadnaught landed upon Diez Ire itself. Even though they knew the risks this would take upon their bodies and souls they had done so without care or worry.
After all, with the death of this Imperator Titan, Mars might as well be won.
