Suffice to say Guts has probably met Puck and told Theresia to kys by the time you leave the forest, so you'll have enough time to find a good armor and/or Gunpowder by then. Wether or not you want to join him after you meet paths with him after killing Rosine is really up to you.
There is also the events of Sword Of The Berserk from the Dreamcast game which I've been pondering in wether or not I should adapt since it's apparently canon and happens between a long period of time but given how unclear the timeline in the story is with numbers or dates, it's hard to go by with a good order of events happening in exact periods, it's up in the air for now but I think there's enough time to meet Mozgus unless I have my facts wrong
