>>5348051>>5348052>>5348106With Piker now having a proper means of battling, you leave him with Holly and Gareth's Feebas, along with Fie's Skrelp for the time being as the three Feebas awkwardly try to emulate the Skrelp in moving about.
Meanwhile, you release Kay O-o as Daz finally comes in to check on you, apparently finally having finished whatever he'd needed to do to open up fully. Likely paperwork and scheduling, if it's anything like running a pokemon center.
"No trouble?" He asks, looking around the arena as you release Latias and get her to show Kay O-o how to use Dragonbreath.
"No trouble." You confirm as Kay begins trying to imitate her. "And thanks for letting us train here today." You add.
Daz waives aside the thanks.
"No one else was using it." He says. "It's a bit early in the season yet. Another week or two and you'd have been flat out of luck, but for now, you can make the best of it." He says. "Now, Siggy's email..."
He forwards you a brief note containing a flat refusal to train Latias, which you'd expected and don't really mind anyway, along with some general advice on training Dragon types, which has you saving immediately.
The notes specifically on Latias are sparse, however, though they do make specific note of weight training and especially, the best way to train Latias and Latios for flying, along with a second note that he'd try and get hold of 'Latiasite' and 'Latiosite', but that he'd need to find a keystone by himself, whatever that meant.
Beyond that is an explicit note not to push Latias too hard or be too strict with her, as apparently, they have a tendency to resent being shouted at and that gentle admonishment and disappointment are more effective teachers.
There're also a few exercises for psychic powers and getting more out of moves like Dragonbreath and Dragon Pulse.
You're pulled out of your reading as a clattering reveals that Kay O-o has knocked the target he and Latias were practicing Dragonbreath on has tipped over. Evidently, Latias acting as teacher in this case has worked out for the best.
It's now mid-morning and you feel like you're making good progress. The only question is, what next?
