You've never been more glad to see the darkened sky of the exterior world. You've ended up on a rooftop helipad, with the blocky roof entrance right behind you. You immediately start running, eager to be out of the lag again. The air feels icy cold against your skin, due to the heat you've been marinating in for the entire final section of your mission.
"Thanks, Astamon..."
<span class="mu-s">"Mh."</span> He mumbles. He sounds upset that you keep returning him to the Digivice, but you really had no choice, shrinking his data volume is one of the key abilities you can leverage here.
The building is thick. Before you can even reach the edge, you feel waves of force emanating from behind you. SkullGreymon pushes its way back into the physical world, oozing malice from each and every vertex of its body. It starts groaning again, and it crouches down to aim the shape on its back at you. You finally register that it's a missile.
Luckily, you hesitate to send Astamon out for a few terrifying moments. That would have been the last thing either of you ever did. Within seconds of SkullGreymon's emergence, heavy gunfire rains down on it, shredding its bones in a manner that Astamon's gun was completely unable to. You have no doubt in your mind that you would have been caught in the attack if you presented your partner as a target.
