“Chio, let’s be smart about this.” You cut distance even more and plead to the artist to act a little more lenient. “Crossbill, we’ll talk if you hand me my glasses.”
“Ask and you shall receive!” The boisterous bird acts like she’s a magician to pull out your glasses out of thin air! You can feel a lousy trick even if you can’t see it. She puts them back on your stupid face herself. “There we go! Much better now, right, Phillip?”
“My name is not Phillip.” You frown. What’s up with people adding letters to names?! It’s Phil! Short and sweet! Nothing more. Nothing less. “And yes, it’s much better now.”
“Tch…” Now that Chio is composed she looks annoyed. You thought she’d be happy that your glasses are back, but by the looks of it, she wants them destroyed! What’s up with that?! “I do not believe it. Charlotte, you actually stole it?”
“Much has changed since the last time we met.” Charlotte stares at the distance.
“You’re a pathetic, pitiful and lousy criminal. Don’t act like you’re a big shot.” Chio shuts down whatever character Crossbill is trying to project.
“O-Oi, you don’t have to be so harsh…!” Crossbill can’t handle Chio’s bluntness! Being fair, not many can. In fact, she must’ve been in good humor because she wasn’t as poignant as other times. “But that’s a chat for another time. Phil, follow me!” Charlotte skips away a few feet from where you are standing. You won’t have much privacy there.
“Sorry, Chio, it won’t take long.” You apologize because you really didn’t ask Chio for her consent.
“Just make it quick.” Chio is visibly annoyed. Your mom always says to never make a lady wait. Or a gentleman. Then she’d spent 4 hours doing side quests in games. Your mom was a complicated individual.
You walk next to Crossbill. She turns you around and puts her arm around your neck, giving your backs to Chio.
“You met him, didn’t you? The one and only? That’s how you got it, riiiight? Why didn’t you invite me? Can I meet him still? Tell me I can meet him still!” Crossbill is talking really fast like an excited fangirl.
How do you respond?
>“I’m glad you liked your gift, Crossbill! One favor for another!” You can’t believe how happy she is!
>“Maybe? He seemed interested in meeting you, he heard a thing or two about your heists. I’ll see if I get the chance again.” You may give her some hope. Houda is a nice guy in that sense.
>“Sorry, Houda is a mysterious guy and it was pure chance I met him. He was nice enough to give me that, but I don’t think I can do more than that.” You don’t want to disturb the master thief without his permission.
>“Calm down, Crossbill. You’re not acting like yourself.” You feel like she’s getting way too excited…
