"Yeah of course I remember you Mags how could I forget, we were together at the docks too for most of it."
The strangely dressed assassin had joined them during the assault on Dragon's Laire but really stood out during the docks. He was always looking forward to seeing the newbies shine, especially since an infusion of new blood was usually good for an organization. Doubly so for one that had very high turnover.
"Truth be told I felt like I was a bit... off this time. I wasn't really able to do much while everybody else was doing most of the work."
He hadn't killed too many people neither had he- no Alan wasn't allowed to self-reflect. Even a little bit of his inner thoughts could leak out so he had to think about something else. To focus on something else.
His smile rose high, a bit too sharply and a bit too tightly as he spoke.
"We can hang out later if you want but I've got plans for the night so maybe next time. Looking to go meet the newbies but that's enough about me, how's Tony been treating you?"
"He's a good man that one, used to be a... well that particular storyline he can tell you later."
It wasn't Alan's place to start that particular thread no matter how interesting he thought it was. He thought some aspects of Tony were interesting but he didn't feel like Maggie was a good fit for that sort of storyline.
"You picked a good boss Mags and he's lucky to have you working for him. You're a real bolt of lightning in a fight and cool little lady out of it!"
That was a bit better, he should just focus on other people's stories so he didn't have to focus on himself. Maggie would be an interesting character, her growth was already happening as time went on.
