The boy walks over to the pair, Gohan fist-bumping him as the ghost girl floats around your brother. “Well I’m sure the two of you heard her, how’re the two of you taking this team-up?”
“Well we’ve actually worked together before.” Gohan answers. “She even helped me learn a few things before I got back to Earth that paid off fairly well.”
“Hehehe! He is a pretty quick learner.” Phantasma giggles. “And our abilities are definitely gonna help us through those challenges.”
“Ahh, prior history together! That’s a good sign, both for what’s ahead in the competitions… aaaand may be beyond them.” Minotia raises his eyebrows and winks, nudging Gohan gently with his elbow. Oh he is definitely taking to his role very well.
“Even if there’s some… romantic undertones to this whole deal…” Gohan gives Maple a pointed look, and then you. “I figure the point of this is in the end having fun, making some connections. So that’s what we’ll do. Ain’t that right Phanty?” He raises up his hand for a high-five.
“Yeah yeah yeah! Fun!~” She attempts to complete it, but in her… more overly excited state her hand passes through Gohan’s. Sheepishly she calms down a bit and gives pulls her hand back, giving a calmer and actually successful high-five.
You do notice some of the other groups talking amongst themselves too, with Penn and Angela talking with Videl, Sharpner, Erasa, and Hado sorta strategizing already. Interesting. However… “That’s great to hear! Best of luck to you both! Ah, but what’s that I see? Minotia, how about we turn our attention on to Lime and Monty?”
