“Alright, do your thing.” You’ll trust Vera on this one. You’re not sure what you’re messing with, if she thinks it’s better to be safe than sorry, then it is and you shouldn’t try to argue against it. The pressure is back on you.
“Two things I want to clarify. One, this guy won’t wake up for a few hours. And second, I know I held my composure pretty well when we met yesterday, but the truth is that I act a little emotional when I’m tired. It’s not unusual, understood? “One more thing, Johnny, I…” Vera stares at her phone without muttering another word, the screen shows it’s ready to do the ‘deleting’. You wonder how it works, this power would be creepy in the wrong hands. “Johnny, are you listening to me?”
“I said I’m ready.” You adjust your glasses to show more confidence.
“Get closer. I want to show you something.” Vera waves you closer. You oblige and put all your attention on the phone.
Vera kisses you on the check. “I believe in you.”
You turn to her with a dumbfounded expression. You feel the temperature rising for... reasons.
“A-Aren’t you going to say anything?” Vera wonders if she fucked up, she gets too embarrassed to wait for you to answer. “<span class="mu-i">Okay, I don’t wanna hear it, take care of me, see ya.</span>” Vera talks really fast then presses the button that activates her magic.
“W-Wait.” You didn’t know what to say! That’s all!
But it’s all too late, she acted like she had a brain freeze after eating too much ice cream for a moment, and then slowly gets herself in a comfortable position to sleep like a sloth, then she joins the kingdom of dreams.
“Thank you.” You headpat the unconscious girl, then push her away from the room in pursuit of the elevator. Not like the elevator is running away, but if it goes up and down from floor to floor, you can say it kinda escapes (?).
