>>6316997>>6316998>Maybe manage to have S3's becomes Auxilia to S2 Teams until they've proven their worth to get Mjolnir armor. If they finish their training under Mendez and survive their augmentations, they're Spartans, same as any of us.
I'm not about to make them jump through any more hoops than ONI and UNSC as a whole will, especially when they're some of the very few people who can even wear the damn suits in the first place.
I'm of the opinion that if our juniors are treated with respect and checked when necessary, they will be every bit the Spartan that we are.
No need to treat them like fresh boots after the hell they'll have gone through by the time they're deployed.
>>6317005>UNSC probably cant afford outfiting them all though since they way too many. This is true. As I recall, the rough cost for each individual suit of MJOLNIR was comparable to the larger vessels of the UNSC's Navy. Not to mention there's all the equipment needed for repairs and maintenance on the suits, plus the personnel to perform said maintenance and repairs.
Then there's also the fact that each suit has a fucking AI compatible knitted-crystal computer memory layer across the entirety of the body. I get it, Halsey planned for AI integration from the start, but maybe that could have waited until certain Spartans had been designated Smart AI partners given that it represents 80% of the total cost of each suit.Anyways, Section 3 is already working on everybody's favorite stop-gap solution to arming bulk order super soldiers (pic related).
