It’s… the figure of some woman with long hair in royal garb- …Oh come on. That… that’s the spitting image of the last Queen of Nemuria!
“FUUUUUU!” you yell out in complaint. He brought her here! Has he been spying on you?!
“Now now, little Princess. Do not concern yourself with him.” the woman addresses you, moving off the tower and floating down. How is she not being crushed by the planet’s gravity? A barrier of her own? You can’t see it, just… get the feeling of immense Magical energy surrounding her. “So you’re the one who’s been snooping around MY kingdom.”
You stare her down. “So what if I have?”
“Then you should return what you’ve taken.” she demands. “All of it. That does not belong to you.”
Basilea stares her down, walking away a bit, her tail swaying behind her. ‘…Something’s wrong with this.’
‘No shit something’s wrong! Fu’s been stalking us, all of us, through these trips!’
‘No. With her, or… whoever this actually is.’ she replies. “Why are you working with demons? Aren’t they Outsiders and threats to your people?” the demon Princess inquires.
“Why are YOU working with a human?” she retorts with a bit of a smug grin.
Basilea’s Ki flares up, her fists clenching. “You should know why, if you’re working with him.”
The last Queen of Nemuria closes her eyes, holds her hands out, and shrugs her shoulders, still keeping that smug grin. “From what I’ve gathered, you’ve been banished and disinherited for failing to live up to the standards your throne requires of you. Your only use as a peace offering to your throne’s enemies.” Her eyes open again. “I’ll admit my situation isn’t… quite as dour. But rebuilding and restoring the greatness that once existed requires a compromise or two. Of course now I don’t have any cowardly children around to ruin it. A shame to have been given a daughter so gifted yet so WEAK.”
“Wow. You know, you don’t really get the full picture of someone until you actually meet them in-person.” you note.
“Ah, so true, my beauty, grace, and power are beyond what any framed picture can display.” she says haughtily.
Your mech crosses its arms. “They also just don’t do justice to how much of a bitch you are. I mean I got some good impressions from what you’ve left behind, even some pretty clear visions as to what you were, but wow.”
…
Waaaaiiiit a second…
