Her name is Mel, and she is a student of magic, a crime that earns you exile in the vast expanse known as the Spellwild. Within minutes of entering the Spellwild she found herself both in possession of a powerful treasure known as a living spell that allows her to summon spears of ice at will, as well as a pair of cursed living spells that intended to kill her within five days. Against the odds she found food, shelter, a decent neighbor, and the magical skills she needed to fight back against the cursed spells, killing them both in a bloody showdown and claiming their power for her own.
Returning to our story, our protagonist has just slain a hulking minotaur and murder of crows, absorbed their power, and been congratulated by a very strange entity who can move the sun and moon with a wave of their hand. Said entity is about to exit stage left.
