>>5365330"If you're wanting to train with me, I'm not going to hold back." you tell her, switching the chamber's setting back to 50x New Salda's gravity then looking back towards her. “So if you're wanting to train, I'm going to be pushing you harder than ever before. I won't be holding back. So, are you really ready?”
“I'm ready.” she replies, not exactly excitedly but she sounds just... Ready. You see that determined fire still in her eyes. So you nod once, and throw the switch.
“Let's do this.” you reply, and feel that familiar gravity slam back down onto your shoulders. It crashes down onto Chaya's back as well, forcing her down to a knee and her hand. But she catches herself, and slowly but surely pushes herself back up to her feet. You see her eyes blazing to life despite her body trembling from the pressure, she's clearly not backing down. But you'll see just how far this newfound determination of hers will take her.
“One thousand pushups.” you say, once again assuming the position. She struggles for a couple seconds to do the same, but once she's ready nods to you. “Go. One. Two. Three.”
“Four!” Chaya continues, the two of you continuing to call them out. And to your surprise she actually manages to hang with you for around the first hundred, but after that she quickly slows down. Meanwhile you keep up the almost-mechanical pace, pushing your body at a constant pace. Chaya falls behind quickly, losing more and more ground by the second as you forge ahead. But she doesn't give up, and keeps pushing. “Six ninety nine! Seven hundred!”
You finish your thousand after another minute or two, pushing yourself back up to your feet and readying yourself to do the one thousand vertical sit-ups as well. But Chaya doesn't rise up, instead continuing to crank out her reps instead of giving up. Her arms are trembling badly, sweat dripping from her face, but she doesn't quit. So you watch, counting along with her as your daughter finishes up her thousand reps.
“One THOUSAND!” she calls out triumphantly, and immediately collapses to the ground. She doesn't get back up right away, laying there and struggling to catch her breath. You walk over to check on her, still a bit worried about her health after everything, and see her eyes are completely unfocused. But then she snaps to, and that determination immediately fills her vision again. Without pause she plants both palms down on the ground, and starts pushing herself upright once again. You take a step back as she rises, giving her plenty of room, and to your surprise she actually does it. Chaya gets back up to her feet, her determined eyes meeting yours. “What's next?”
